Christine B. Foundation

The Christine B. Foundation (CBF) is a non-profit, community-based service provider in Bangor, ME. The organization's mission to build a community of support for those facing cancer has been backed by broad community investments since its inception in 2014. Every year, 1,000-1,200 Mainers rely on CBF for cancer nutrition assistance, educational conferences, and individualized referral coordination. Cancer is still the leading cause of death in the State of Maine.

The organization's namesake, Christine, was an active volunteer, mother of two, sister, social worker, and wife who lost her battle with stomach cancer in 2008. Her family, friends, and the Maine community came together to support othersfacing this chronic disease.
