World Relief's mission is to boldly engage the world's greatest crises in partnership with the local church. For over 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to develop sustainable, locally-driven solutions to some of our worlds greatest problems. Our vision is thriving, welcoming communities where families flourish and people experience restorative relationships with God, their neighbors, themselves, and all of creation.

At World Relief Memphis, we come alongside refugees and other immigrants in vulnerable situations as they rebuild their lives in the United States. For over 80 years, World Relief has been welcoming immigrants and refugees across the United States. In 2012, our Memphis office opened, and we've been welcoming our neighbors to the Bluff City ever since. For over a decade, we have empowered churches, community organizations and people like you to adapt to the challenges of the moment for the sake of refugees. As needs have increased in recent years, we have expanded our work beyond refugees to include all immigrants in vulnerable situations.

Our work helps refugees and other immigrants with 8 stability factors, like housing, English, finances, employment, health, and schooling. One of the stability factors is community connections, which is where volunteers come in!

Our volunteer opportunities include ways to meet both practical and relational needs. We are better together and our community is stronger when relationships take precedence, so many of our volunteer opportunities are relational in nature and involve a longer commitment.

PLEASE NOTE: Due the nature of our work, the volunteer onboarding requirements, and the time commitment of the majority of our volunteer opportunities, we are NOT a preferred site for court-mandated community service hours.
