About this Opportunity
Please help SOLVE and GroundScore clean-up the I-205 Multi-Use Path near SE Division Street.
A partnership between SOLVE and Ground Score Association
Join SOLVE and Ground Score Association for a community cleanup focused on shared stewardship, environmental health, and meaningful community connection. Ground Score members are experienced waste pickers, environmental workers, and advocates who bring deep knowledge of waste diversion, picker culture, and the realities faced by unhoused neighbors. Their lived expertise helps guide safe, respectful, and effective community-led environmental care.
Why Ground Score’s Work Matters
Ground Score plays a vital role in Portland by:
- Diverting bottles and cans from landfills
- Reducing greenhouse gas emissions
- Helping keep parks and neighborhoods safer for people and wildlife
- Supporting waste collection needs in communities that often go without
- Contributing to a cleaner, healthier environment citywide
What to Expect
Ground Score leaders will help bridge connection between volunteers and unhoused neighbors, share safe practices for litter removal and materials recovery, and create space for understanding and respect throughout the cleanup.
Together, we’ll remove litter, support waste diversion, and care for shared spaces here in Portland. Come ready to learn, connect, and make a meaningful impact.
