AAA Downtown - Pick It Up, Portland!

Pick It Up, Portland! is a citywide day of action dedicated to making our neighborhoods cleaner, healthier, and more welcoming for everyone. On Thursday, August 6, volunteers will come together at five different locations across Portland—each one offering a chance to make a meaningful impact close to home.

This event kicks off at the Downtown AAA office, where volunteers will spread out through the surrounding neighborhood to remove litter and protect this cherished community space. Join us to show your love for Portland and help create cleaner streets, safer parks, and a brighter environment for all who live, work, and play here. Let’s take care of the city we call home—together!

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting at AAA. Look for SOLVE signs.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests.

Restrooms: No public restrooms are available

Parking: There is street parking is available.

Transit: Trimet Blue and Red Max Lines

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
