About this Opportunity

The purpose of the hospice volunteer is to perform tasks for the patient/family that the volunteer has been prepared for and has agreed to perform. This may include providing companionship and support to the patient and their family, preparing light meals or carrying out light household tasks, running errands, or providing a family member respite. Other duties could include office assistance (clerical/mailings), bereavement calls, vigil, and special events, according to a volunteers interests.

Location: Variable, within Yellowstone County; could include a patients private home, assisted living facility, or skilled nursing environment.

Time Commitment:1-2 hours weekly.

Qualifications and Requirements:Volunteer Application, Interview with Volunteer Coordinator, Background and Reference Checks, COVID Vaccine, Hospice Volunteer Training, TB Test, and Flu Shot.
