GRC Legal Analyst (Unpaid Volunteer Position)

Location: Remote

Reports to: GRC Manager

Time commitment: minimum 20 hours weekly

Headcount: 2 people

Summary:

The GRC analyst with a legal background is a critical hire for our rapid team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance aspects from the ground-up ensuring alignment with global legal requirements and business objectives.

Job Descriptions:

Deep knowledge of national and international regulations relevant to the events and technology sectors legal sector, regulations, and accessibility standards.

Proven experience conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities to the business

Prior experience in a tech company, especially a startup, helps demonstrate an understanding of fast-paced, agile environments.

Understanding of potential legal and regulatory liabilities associated with the tech platform (website, mobile website, and/or applications)

Knowledge of laws concerning digital rights, content usage, and accessibility for virtual and hybrid event platforms.

Candidate Qualifications:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Law, or Business Administration

Proficient with complex legal and technical concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences.

Ability to communicate complex legal and technical concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences.

Knowledge of assessing and managing risks associated with third-party vendors and platform security
