We are seeking a motivated individual to volunteer their expertise and build a dedicated security force from the ground up.

Position: Lead Volunteer Security Guard (Pioneer a New Security Force)

Commitment: Part-Time/Project-Based

Location: Ramapo Mountains, New Jersey

About the Opportunity:

This volunteer role is tailored for a visionary leader who wants to apply their law enforcement experience to establish and guide an environmental security team. As the founding member, you will set the foundation for a unique initiative designed to safeguard the beauty and safety of the Ramapo Mountains, private historic properties, and its precious ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and monitor conservation and landmark areas within the Ramapo Mountains.
• Identify, assess, and respond to potential threats to wildlife and natural resources.
• Work collaboratively with conservation experts to develop safety protocols.
• Design and implement strategies to recruit, train, and mentor future volunteer team members.
• Document and report any incidents, liaising with wildlife conservation groups, environmental agencies, and enforcement agencies.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Retired law enforcement or military professional with leadership experience.
• Strong commitment to environmental protection and a proactive mindset.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently and navigate outdoor environments.
• Passion for building and leading a dedicated security team.
