J-Sei, Inc.

J-Sei offers a wide range of supportive services for older adults in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties in California. Services are delivered consistent with Nikkei values and are culturally and linguistically appropriate for Japanese families. J-Sei offers case management, friendly visitors/callers, a caregiver registry, transportation, home delivered Japanese lunches, on-site Japanese lunches, education/health wellness classes and cultural events and programs. Programs are open to all regardless of ethnicity and services are provided on a donation only basis to improve access. Over 600 people are assisted annually.

J-Sei, Inc. (formerly Japanese American Services of the East Bay, Inc.), works with the community to continue a tradition of caring for and honoring our elders.  The organization encourages healthy aging while providing resources and solutions when challenges to living independently arise. The specific and primary purpose of the organization is to engage in senior activities such as the lunch program and classes, case management, community homes, and retirement community.
