AFTV Five (AFTV5)

AFTV5 is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit community media organization with a social focus. We are committed to the value of community television, delivering alternatives to commercial broadcast television. Through our programming, we aim to provoke thought, provide an avenue for amplifying underrepresented voices, and ultimately inspire positive change within our communities. AFTV5 documents and reports the African and African American community experience within and beyond the community. By serving as a creator, producers, and broadcasters of original work, we share with our global neighbors our culture and customs.

Our mission is to create opportunities and empower people through the media. As a community media, we produce original programming that aligns with our mission to empower people through media; expanding access to education, reduce the digital divide, promoting African culture and heritage, and making space for solid digital media collaborations that benefit the communities we serve.
