We save lives by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and fighting back. Thanks in part to this work, nearly 14 million cancer survivors and countless others who have avoided the disease will celebrate a birthday this year.Our signature event, Relay For Life allows for community members to join forces in the fight against cancer. There are over 90 community and college Relay For Life events across the state of Iowa.

The American Cancer Society works in every community, every day, to fight every cancer. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities from helping to drive cancer patients to and from their treatments to planning our crucial fundraising events that make patient support and research possible.
