Founded by six cardiologists in 1924, our organization now includes more than 33 million volunteers and supporters.

We help people understand the importance of healthy lifestyle choices. We provide science-based treatment guidelines to healthcare professionals to help them provide quality care to their patients. And we have invested more than $4.1 billion in research, more than any U.S. nonprofit organization and the number one funder of heart and stroke research next to the government.
