Mission Statement

Avivo serves nearly 15,000 Minnesotans each year, helping them achieve recovery,stable housing,employmentand economic advancement. Founded in 1960, Avivo provides chemical and mental health services, housing support services, career education and employment services. We specialize in helping individuals and families who face personal or systemic barriers poverty, homelessness, joblessness, chemicaladdictionor mental health concerns.

Avivo is unique because we pair our services to help individuals achieve lasting success. Ourchemical and mental health servicesinclude chemical and mental health assessments, substance use disorder treatment (outpatient and residential) for individuals and families, mental health therapy,targetedcase management and care coordination. Ourending homelessness servicesinclude street outreach for individuals living unsheltered, indoor tiny houses shelter (Avivo Village), hotel-to-home initiatives, transitional recovery housing and housing targeted case management. We operateAvivo Institute of Career & Technical Educationwhich provides short-term training to earn industry credentials that launch individuals on career pathwaysand living wage jobs. Our full range ofemployment servicescustomizes support for unemployed and under-employed individuals who are struggling to find work, transition or start their careers.
