About

The Adult Education Program at Bristol Community College offers classes in High School Equivalency exam preparation and English language proficiency. Our goal is to empower students to reach their fullest potential by providing them with the resources they need to succeed, including one-on-one tutoring.

Mission Statement

BCC's Adult Education Program offers one-on-one tutoring to students as a supplemental resource to weekly classes. Tutors meet with students 1-2 hours a week to assist learners:

  • Prepare for High School Equivalency Exams (GED or HiSET)
  • Enhance Math, Reading and Writing Skills
  • Achieve English Language Proficiency
  • Improve Computer Skills

Tutoring plays an important role in helping students build their academic skills and achieve their goals!

  • Taunton Center
  • Online

Minimum Requirements:

  • 18 years or older,
  • high school diploma or equivalency (GED or HiSET)
  • ability to pass a CORI background check

No prior teaching experience is necessary -- tutor training will be provided.
