About
Bethesda Metro Area Village works to help seniors stay in their home as they age -- safely, independently, and in the community they love. The village offers volunteer-provided services and opportunities for social engagement to members within our village boundaries.
Mission Statement
Student volunteers with BMAV help with technology tutoring for seniors. There are also opportunities to help with setup of public events. When allowed, they can also help with remote projects like research and editing videos.
Adult volunteers can provide services for seniors such as rides, grocery shopping or other errands, answering technology questions, other in-home help like heavy lifting or small handyperson tasks, friendly visits or calls, and absent owner services. After applying, adult volunteers must complete a background check and a volunteer training.
