The Black Mountain Center for the Arts (BMCA) is a vibrant hub for creativity, culture, and community engagement in Black Mountain, NC. Through diverse classes, workshops, performances, and events, we foster artistic expression, enrich lives, and strengthen the local economy. Who We Serve BMCA welcomes all ages and skill levels, offering a space for creativity, connection, and growth. We celebrate diversity, encourage artistic exploration, and enhance the cultural vitality of our community.

Our Historic Home Housed in Black Mountain’s former City Hall, BMCA has transformed this nearly century-old building into a thriving arts space. A former library is now a gallery, council chambers a theater, firefighter quarters a dance studio, and jail cells an art studio. Since 2000, we’ve been a cornerstone for the arts, honoring our past while shaping the future.
