About
The Brandywine Valley SPCA is dedicated to serving the families of Delaware through programs & services catered towards the needs of the community. Through our volunteer programs we are able to rehabilitate animals that have been abused, abandoned, neglected or lost and in need of a safe place to recover. The BVSPCA understands that volunteers are the life blood of any non-profit organization and are an invaluable resource in supporting our animals and advocating on their behalf, below are just a few of the areas in need of your aid:
• Walking dogs • Socializing both cats & dogs • Counseling potential adopters • Supporting BVSPCA Youth Programs: Junior Volunteers, Birthday Parties & Critter Camp • Community Outreach & Education: advocate & educate the general public on topics of breed, care, and the need to support local shelters. • Animal Health Center Aid: build surgical packs, help in the recovery room, and general office duties. • Marketing Department: photography, video, and social media. • Foster Care: care for animals in need of a home-like environment to aid in recovery (bottle babies, medical foster & cruelty case foster).
As you can see the need is great but with your support we can make a difference in the thousands of lives we save each year, thank you for your consideration and we hope to see you soon!
