Chimborazo Playground Community Garden

On scheduled work days, we need people to help with outdoor building, carrying, dumping, pulling, stomping, raking, weeding, painting, and some shoveling-type jobs.

Chimborazo Community Garden has several aims: to provide a place for neighbors with little or no yard space to grow their own yummy foods; to beautify a part of the park that was previously unused dust and sparse grass; to educate and encourage others to take part in the organic, local, grow-your-own food idea that aims to decrease putting more chemicals into the watershed, using fossil fuels to grow plants and ship foods, and depleting our soils; to educate people about getting nutritious, fresh, and delicious foods at affordable costs; and to connect neighbors around the relaxing activity of gardening!
