About

  1. The Christian Caring Center partners with many organizations, area churches, groups (civic & youth), and businesses to meet these needs. Currently we administer funds from government and private grants, as well as donations from individuals, churches and businesses. Our outreach programs include:1. Emergency Food Program--a 6 day supply of food 2. Community Lunch & Street Outreach--Hot lunch served at the Center 6 daysper weekand on Wed. & Fri. we take out hot cooked meals to area homeless in the woods & 2 area motels. This is an opportunity to direct them to other service agencies for problems with substance abuse, medical and mental health care and rehabilitation. 3. Salvation Army Service--Provision for crisis needs such as emergency shelter, medications medical assistance, diaper, transportation for family reunification/rapid re-housing of homeless persons, limited assistance with utilities and fuel. 4. Basket Programs-- We distribute baskets to registered clients four times a year: food baskets for Thanksgiving,Thanksgiving Day Dinner,Christmas, Easter and back to school back packs. 5. (2)Men's Shelter--Located in Pemberton, our shelter has an on-site manager and houses fo 8 men who are working a structured recovery program and moving forward in God's plan and purpose for their lives. 6.Job Training--Our job training program, which is part of our comprehensive client services model, helps individual emerging from homelessness to enhance their employ ability. 7. Code Blue Shelter--During the winter months when the weather creates life-threatening condition, the B.C. Board of Health declares Code Blue. Homeless adults can come indoors for the duration of an alert and are able to find a worm, safe place to eat, sleep and receive case management services. 9. Case Management--We provide a road map and linkages to variedresourcesto recovery for crisis situations such as: homeless prevention, homelessness, unemployment, utility shut offs, heating assistance, medical, etc. 10. Bridge of Hope is a permanent housing project to single mothers & children who are experiencing homelessness. Together with weekly case management meeting and an apartment of their choice & decreasing rental assistance for 1 year. This program allows the family stability, support & sustainability.

Mission Statement

This life-saving ministry opened its doors on April22, 1983 and has been serving under resourced persons in 'Burlington County with assistance in food, shelter, and other life necessities for over 37 years. The people who come through our doors need far more than just material goods: They need our friendship, love and concern. We have been a place of refuge and caring for tens of thousands of individuals over the years of operation.
