The City of Bloomington Utilities also handles the collection, treatment, and disposal of wastewater (sanitary sewers) through the ownership and operation of two wastewater treatment facilities (Dillman Road and Blucher Poole) along with several lift stations. Since 1998, CBU has also manages the collection and disposal of stormwater for the City of Bloomington.

In addition, CBU repairs, replaces all water and sewer mains as well as stormwater systems throughout the city.

The City of Bloomington Utilities employs approximately 175 full- and part-time employees that work hard to provide quality service to Bloomington residents.
