About

Food is a basic human right, and food brings people together. At the Coralville Community Food Pantry, we know that good food can be a catalyst for change. We've seen it act as a powerful tool that can transform one's health, strengthen community solidarity, foster social connections, and even challenge inequality.

Together, with our community, we are working to ensure that every person in our community goes to bed with the food they need and deserve.

Mission Statement

The Coralville Community Food Pantrys primary method of meeting the food needs of our community is by offering a weekly food assistance program. The program maintains a member-choice model, where food-insecure families and individuals can visit the pantry once a week to freely select food and personal care items that best suit their unique needs. To avoid unnecessary barriers, the only qualification to receive assistance is to be a Coralville, Tiffin, or Oxford resident. We know that hunger is unpredictable and can affect individuals of any income level, employment status, race, age, gender, ability, or sexual orientation. The pantry offers food assistance five times a week; on Tuesdays from 2-6pm, Wednesdays from 4-6pm, Thursdays from 11:30am-1:30pm, Fridays from 11am-1pm (Seniors 60+ & Individuals w/ Disabilities Only), and Saturdays from 10:30am-1pm.
