Mission Statement

The mission of Cornerstone Ranch is to empower adults with special needs to live an abundant life through community involvement, an active life, and a family-centered environment. Cornerstone began in 2002 when founders, David and Cynthia Heaton, opened their home to several special needs adults who had just finished high school. The Heatons realized that these special people, were missing out on the abundant life they were created for. In 2006, Cornerstone Ranch opened on the McKinney property and has become home to six wonderful residents.Just a few years ago, theDay Program was created to welcome additional adults with special needs to join our Ranchers in activities like our therapeutic art class, ceramics, candle and card making, gardening, education classes, life skills training, daily exercise, community outreach and so much more.
