Volunteers are the heart of Emmanuel Hospice. They help bring to life our philosophy of care that centers on providing comfort, dignity and tranquility to the dying and their loved ones. Emmanuel Hospice will help match your talents, skills and interests to the many volunteer opportunities we have available and you will receive comprehensive training tailored specifically to your area of assignment. Some areas of need include: Petvisitors, Patient / Family support, Spiritual Companion, Vigil, Veteran to Veteran Volunteers.

Hospice is holistic care and support for people who have been given a physician prognosis of six months or less to live. Because a persons last moments are among the most important, we focus not only on comfort, but also quality of life. Its our calling to make every moment meaningfulfor patients and families. Our team of doctors, nurses, social workers, hospice aides, spiritual caregivers, dietitians, pharmacists, grief support specialists and volunteers work as a team, rallying around patients individual needs to care for the mind, body and spirit.
