About
EyeSeeMe isn’t just a bookstore—we’re a movement for change. What began as a family’s quest to find books that reflected their children’s identity has grown into a national resource for African American children’s literature. Founded by Pamela and Jeffrey Blair, EyeSeeMe was created to increase access to books that build positive self-identity and foster a love of reading, especially in underserved communities.
Through the EyeSeeMe Foundation, we work tirelessly to ensure every child—regardless of economic background—has access to culturally relevant books. Our nonprofit initiatives include partnering with schools, libraries, and community organizations to provide free or discounted books, literacy programs, and cultural presentations. We are passionate about bridging educational gaps and building a world where children see their value reflected in the stories they read.
