About

French Quarter Festival is an annual four-day celebration of Louisiana culture that takes place across New Orleans’ historic French Quarter neighborhood. The free event features 300+ musical performances on 20 stages, 70 local culinary vendors, and special activities like a second line parade. The intention is to uplift and sustain the artists and culture-bearers of New Orleans; approximately 1,500 individual local musicians are hired to perform every year, honoring the rich cultural heritage of the area and spurring ongoing innovation. With free admission and targeted marketing, the festival brings an inclusive and diverse swath of people together to build community via an authentic, high-quality experience of the best food and music that New Orleans has to offer. Founded in 1984, it is now an integral part of the city's cultural fabric, attracting hundreds of thousands of attendees - from down the block and around the world!
