As a leadership development organization, our aim is for every girl in western Washingtonregardless of her race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity, or geographic locationto be empowered to fulfill her potential and make the world a better place. We serve more than 25,000 girls and 12,500 adult members across 17 counties in western Washington.
Mission Statement
Our program centers on the Girl Scout Leadership Experiencea collection of activities and experiences girls have as they earn badges, explore the outdoors, sell cookies, dive into STEM, do projects that make a difference, and more. Put simply, Girl Scouts: Discover: They find out who they are, what they care about, and what their talents are. Connect: They collaborate with other people, locally and globally, to make a difference in the world. Take Action: They take action to make the world a better place. We also support the needs of the diverse girls and families in western Washington through a variety of staff-led programs. These include Girl Scouts Beyond Barswhich serves daughters of incarcerated parentsGirl Scouts School Daywhere we partner with local schoolsand Her Vision Her Voicewhich serves girls in public housing communities.
