About

Mission: to help seniors and individuals with disabilities maintain their independence and continue living in their homes.

Since 1984, Help At Your Door has delivered personalized services designed to meet the diverse needs of older adults and people with disabilities in the seven-county Twin Cities metro. The nonprofit serves over 1,000 clients annually and provides grocery shopping, chore assistance, home repairs, and transportation services.

Mission Statement

Help At Your Door's grocery assistance service offers phone and online order placement. After shopping for the order, we bring it to the client's home and help put items away. This approach builds personal connections and gives access to food while combating loneliness and improving health outcomes.

We also provides transportation a door-through-door service to and from medical appointments, errands, and more. Clients can make multiple stops, and the driver can wait for them at their destination. The driver helps individuals to and from the vehicle as needed. This service has been critical to helping clients stay connected to their community and maintain their independence.

Through our home support services, we assist clients with indoor and outdoor light home projects, ensuring they are living in a comfortable environment. Projects range from painting and changing light bulbs to yard cleanup.
