About

Improving outcomes for DC's sickest children, Hope for Henry (HFH) brings smiles, laughter and joy to kids with cancer and other serious illnesses at Children's National and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Its year-round programming, including gifts, parties, and events, promote comfort, care and recovery for these kids and their families.

Mission Statement

Hope for Henry Foundation (HFH) improves the lives of children with cancer and other serious illnesses by providing carefully-chosen gifts and specially-designed programs to entertain and promote comfort, care, and recovery. HFH brings smiles and laughter, hope and magic into the lives of these children and their families. HFH was founded in 2003 to honor the legacy of Henry Strongin Goldberg, a Washington, DC resident who died at age seven of a rare, fatal disease. Volunteers will help us organize, process, and package the programs and gifts being provided to children and their families.
