Iowa Dance Theatre

Founded by Mary Joyce Lind, this organization is most known for its annual production of Nutcracker at the Civic Center in Des Moines. However, what's most remarkable is that it is a consortium of dancers and teachers from over 30 Central Iowa dances studios working together to produce affordable and accessible live dance performances and special dance training opportunities.

Community based dance production organization. We produce 3 shows annually: Dracula in the Fall, Nutcracker in the Winter and a Spring repertory program. Workshops and guest teachers are offered to supplement the training of the 30 Central Iowa dance studios from which we draw talent for these shows.
