In fulfilling its mission as a free store providing goods and service to those in need within an environment of dignity and respect, Josephs Coat maintains an inclusive philosophy toward people of all ages, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, abilities and challenges. The organization offers essential support to marginalized members of our community: persons experiencing homelessness, living below the poverty line, coping with joblessness, transitioning from incarceration, battling chemical addictions, and managing mental health challenges.

Josephs Coat provides a welcoming environment where the dignity of each person who comes through its doors is acknowledged and affirmed. We strive to foster a sense of community between those facing hardship and our volunteers and donors who are the strength and energy of Josephs Coat.
