KHOI FM Heart of Iowa Community Radio

KHOI FM is a local non-commercial non-profit community radio station that relies almost solely on volunteers, fund raising and donors. KHOI FM provides educational programming plus media and services to the Ames, Story City and surrounding communities. Locally produced programs, which are still being expanded, include "Local Talk"; "Morning Masterpieces"; "The Book Shelf"; "Groovy Stew"; "Contours". Syndicated programs include "Democracy Now!"; "Song of the Soul" "Counter Spin". Our vision is to be an embodiment of the spirit of Central Iowa. We aim to inform, inspire, involve and support the people of our area through locally produced or selected programming. We connect local communities and foster recognition and respect among people by making our communication resources available to them in support of their needs. People are finding a sense of pride and acceptance as our listeners, and we are growing as a result of our commitment to them.

We will build community through communication
