Meals from the Heartland

Our Mission: Empowering people to save starving children. Since inception in 2008, thousands of volunteers have packaged over 150 million meals. Each meal package feeds six people and costs only $1.50 to produce.

Meals from the Heartland is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization that engages volunteers to package meals for food-insecure people around the globe, across the U.S. and in Central Iowa. Individuals, businesses, schools, churches and organizations come together during Meals from the Heartland packaging events to show the world what people who truly care can accomplish.
