Meals On Wheels Of Lancaster

Meals on Wheels of Lancaster, Inc. is a non-profitorganization that has been serving the Lancaster County community since 1967.We are a charitable food service provider that offers freshly prepared meals to Lancaster County residents who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. In 2022, we delivered 225,000 meals! We are assisted in this effort by approximately 600 volunteers who deliver meals, help in the kitchen and help in our office or with special events.

At Meals on Wheels of Lancaster, it is our mission to provide nutritious, freshly prepared meals at a reasonable cost to those who cannot reasonably provide meals for themselves. But this labor of love and community extends beyond food delivery. We utilize our home-delivered meals services to offer wellness checks on the seniors and adults with disabilities who are challenged by process of aging in place. We are grateful to be able to offer, through a collaboration with the Central PA Food Bank, the delivery Commodity Supplemental Food Boxes and Eldershare boxes to eligible seniors that receive our home-delivered meals also. Among other things, we launched a More Than a Meal program, in collaboration with the Lancaster Downtowners and United Way, in 2022.
