About
The Nature Discovery Center is a nonprofit nature center and 4 acre nature park in Houston.
We believe a personal connection to nature is an essential part of life. We ignite life-long curiosity, understanding, and respect for nature through education.
Our Nature Park, named Russ Pitman Park, is intentionally wild to provide habitat for native plants and animals like: migratory birds, turtles, screech owls, pocket prairie. All are welcome to visit, explore, discover, and learn about science, nature, and the world in which we live.
We believe kids and adults learn best by doing. The Nature Discovery Centers hands-on science and nature education programs are at the core of what we do here every day: ignite life-long curiosity, understanding, and respect for nature through education.
Admission to Russ Pitman Park and the Discovery Rooms inside the nature center is free for all.
We offer a programs and opportunities for all ages to connect with nature.
