Newaygo County Parks & Recreation

The Newaygo County Parks System includes a the Newaygo County Welcome Center, marina and five county parks with day use and camping opportunities. To enhance the outdoor experience we are surrounded by the World Class Muskegon River, North Country National Scenic Trail, 4,000 acre Hardy Pond and the 538,000 acre Manistee National Forest.

Newaygo County Parks provides quality recreation opportunities for residents and visitors. Some of these opportunities include: camping, boating, fishing, athletic facilities, swimming, hiking, biking, and many other outdoor activities. One of the main goals it to educate residents and visitors about all the high quality recreation Newaygo County has to offer. In collaboration with the Welcome Center we strive to attract visitors to the area to provide a positive economic impact to our local communities.
