Nurses of the Future

Our History:

Nurses of the Future is a 501(c)(3) organization and was originally founded as a High School club. It was founded with a vision to empower students passionate about healthcare by providing them with leadership opportunities and community service. NOTF grew quickly into a dedicated organization that fundraises for medical causes and raised awareness about public health issues. Despite challenges, such as navigating organizational structures and balancing academics, NOTF has remained committed to its mission of supporting future students who want to join the medical field. We want to support our communities in general and hope you join us!

Our Goals:

Advocate for public health issues and address social and academic pressures faced by students.

Equip students with the knowledge, resources, and research skills needed for school.

Offer mentorship, research opportunities, and workshops to expand medical knowledge.

Teach students about the possibilities in the medical field such as what colleges they can apply for and different jobs that they might find passion in.

What our Volunteers Do:

Volunteering & Service Projects – Volunteers can participate in healthcare-related community service, fundraising for medical causes, and public health advocacy.

Fundraising & Awareness Campaigns – NOTF organizes events supporting medical research such as in Cancer and spreads awareness about public health. By volunteering you could help us raise money for St.Jude Research Hospital and the American Cancer Society <3

Leadership Development – Volunteers can take on leadership roles and host their projects such as workshops with the help of other volunteers.

Blog & Research Team – Volunteers will learn to contribute to health-related articles, expanding awareness of medical topics and social health issues. They can also do research on medicine such as the different types of diseases, biological research, psychological research, or research in any other field.

Resources Team- Volunteers make educational and helpful resources for the community such as study guides, links to scholarships, and internships.

Digital Design/Media Team- Volunteers create content for social media such as Instagram posts which are seen at @nurses.of.the.future and update the community on what our organization is doing.
