About
In 2008 the Oklahoma Blood Institute launched a pilot program to screen its high school blood donors for diabetes using a hemoglobin A1c test and glucose test. Several student blood donors have been found to have elevated hemoglobin and glucose.
Mission Statement
The Oklahoma Blood Institute strives to be the donor-to-patient lifeline, providing our communities and medical partnews security by meeting transfusion and health care needs.
