Community Center
Open Door Community Center is open daily to anyone in need and offers a variety of resources such as breakfast, showers, life skills classes, vital records assistance, and much more for anyone in need.
Supportive Housing
Open Door Supportive Housing provides long-term housing with comprehensive supportive services to adults exiting chronic homelessness. Supportive services include 24-hour on-call case management, life skills training, and ongoing physical and mental healthcare.
Clinic
Open Door Clinic provides basic medical care, healthcare education, and patient navigation services to Supportive Housing residents.
Survivor Housing
Open Door Survivor Housing is an 18-month transitional housing program serving adult survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking survivors and their children. Survivors and their children receive holistic, wrap-around supportive services including counseling, life skills training, classes, transportation, and childcare.
Holidays and Special Events
Open Dooris open for holidays throughout the year, creating a family atmosphere of celebration and fun. As a people often estranged from biological family, Open Doorprovides a supportive place for our community in all seasons of life.
Mission Statement
The mission of Open Door is to cultivate community, opportunity, and restoration with people experiencing poverty, homelessness, and sex trafficking.
Open Door (previously Carpenter's Church) began its ministry with people experiencing homelessness in 1998 when members of Broadway Church of Christ saw a need for community, and connection with resources amongst this population. Since 2011, Open Doorhas operated as an independent church and non-profit organization and continued this founding mission of cultivating a diverse community among those experiencing homelessness in Lubbock.
