Operation Nightwatch
Organization Details
About
We have outreach and this includes street ministry where a team of folks walk around streets and give socks, water, food, and basic emergency supplies.
We also have service/presence at our Meal Center, here you will be able to offer a listening ear and help out in whatever way you can.
We also have meal prep and serving where you and your group will be able to decide the menu for the evening and prep, cook, and serve meals that evening. These meals serve up to 150 people facing homelessness; the average "shift" is from 6 pm through 9:45 pm.
We're also looking for volunteers to spend some time with our seniors and help around the building like prepping food and cleaning.
We have a high demand for van drivers; they're an essential part of transporting people from dispatch to their shelter as well as transporting their food to the shelter from 7:15 pm to 9 pm.
Mission Statement
Operation Nightwatch reduces the impact of poverty and homelessness, in keeping with Jesus’ teaching to love our neighbors.
