Park Danforth

The Park Danforth is a not for profit corporation dedicated to providing quality housing and services to those 60 yrs of age or older. Our mission is to provide housing and services that enhance a person's quality of life, respect personal dignity and accommodate the need for privacy and self-determination. In doing so, we aim to respond to the individual's changing needs brought about through aging. The Park Danforth has been committed to the seniors of Greater Portland since 1881. Over time, we have evolved in response to their changing needs. Following our founders' vision, we continue to enhance the lives of our residents by providing a friendly, appealing community. The Park Danforth affords seniors a fulfilling lifestyle that fosters and supports independence.

With 216 apartments and a full complement of services and programs, we maintain our not-for-profit heritage, tradition and mission in a contemporary fashion, offering meals, social activities and transportation, an on-site/resident-run market, and assisted living services. We offer volunteer opportunities for those who wish to work with the elder population; our residents have a wide range of interests and look forward to creating new memories with you!
