Since 1983, PEPS, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization has helped parents connect and grow as they begin their journey into parenthood. PEPS parent support programs educate, inform and create community.

As long as race and ethnicity continue to predict the future life chances of children in our state, we are committed to working with families, partner organizations, and communities to identify barriers to parent support and wellness, interrupt their negative impact and eliminate the persistent disparities in child outcomes.

Mission Statement

PEPS is a non-profit organization that connects parents to strengthenfamilies and build community.

The PEPS Newborn Program is for infants from birth to four months old. PEPS groups meet weekly and are facilitated by a PEPS-trained leader. At each meeting, there is time for participants to share the week's concerns, successes, issues, and joys as well as time for a discussion on topics related to parenting and children (sleeping, feeding, adjusting to parenthood, etc.) Participants will respect each other's opinions and all discussions are confidential.The PEPS program model is based on the 5 Protective Factors from Strengthening Families, which help build resilient families, positive connections and support forparents, andreduce negative outcomes, such as abuse and neglect.
