Mission: To connect, protect, and restore southeast Wisconsin's land and water for the benefit of all.
Restoring Lands is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of natural areas and open spaces in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington Counties. Restoring Lands offers services to private landowners and communities though land conservation, education and stewardship, to protect and preserve the natural character and ecological diversity of land and water.
Since 1992, more than 7,200 acres of open space, woodlands, wetlands and wildlife habitat have been protected through acquisition and conservation easements. By creating strong conservation relationships we promote public awareness of the benefits of land preservation and provide opportunities for nature-based recreation, improving the quality of life in our communities.
Mission Statement

- Land & Water Stewardship We improve lakes, streams, and wetlands while fostering a deeper connection to nature through conservation efforts.
- Nature & Volunteering We engage the community in land stewardship through tree planting, invasive species removal, trail maintenance, and prairie seed collection. Volunteers play a vital role in preserving our natural heritage for future generations.
