Rock N' Rescue needs a variety of volunteers of all ages... here's just a few... PR expert to coordinate with Social Media expert Social Media Manager (to oversee social media team) and to work with PR Volunteer Coordinator (to help you manage volunteers and listings) Adoption Counselors (to review adoption applications) Pet Drivers (to pick up/drop off pets arriving for adoption in and out of state) and to take pets to events or medical appts Grant Writers E-Newsletter Editor/Writer and also Blog writers and Social Media content writers Event Planners Development and Fundraising Manager (to help write the prospectus, etc.) 24-Hour Hotline Volunteers Pet Foster Home Volunteers Board Members Pet Play Buddies (to help socialize cats and dogs to prepare them for adoption/foster homes) Pet Supply Donation Drives (you can ask for any supplies and specify a location or donation bin) Clean Team (to help clean, paint, and prepare the wellness center once it's ready) Recreation Program Volunteers (to assist with your music, pet therapy, yoga, etc. programs once they're up and running) and the list goes on....

We Rescue Pets to Rescue People

Rock N’ Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in South Salem, NY. Our mission is to both rescue and re-home pets in need. Our primary focus is to assist families looking for a pet that is not only happy and healthy, but a pet that can provide a therapeutic solution for emotional and physical ailments. Although we specialize in cats, we also custom search for dogs, guinea pigs and other pets for approved adopters.

The heart and soul of our rescue is our motto “We Rescue Pets to Rescue People,” and we strive to spread this message with our many community outreach programs including cat therapy programs for all ages (like our nursing home Kitty Clubs), cat wellness programs (like our Kitty Yoga classes) and educational programs (like our Read to Kitty classes) and more!
