Advancement from this life to the next should be both dignified and comfortable; hospice allows patients to spend precious time with loved ones in the comfort of their own place of residence. Hospice care aims to treat the symptoms of the disease process and provide comfort and support rather than focus on halting, delaying, or curing the illness. Suncrest Hospice provides this treatment through qualified and compassionate physicians, nurses, aides, social workers, and spiritual advisers. Our team is committed passionately to making patients comfortable while providing necessary support to family members. We believe in the interdisciplinary approach to care. Our team works collectively with one another to provide the best care and attention possible for each individual patient. Nurse case managers, CNAs, social workers, music and massage therapists, chaplains, volunteers, etcetera, all complement one another to meet the needs of patients and their families. Our office is based in West Des Moines, but we care for our patients wherever they are most comfortable (in-home, assisted living facilities, memory care units, etc.).
