Sunrise Christian Food Ministry

The Sunrise Christian Food Ministry serves the community 5 days a week. Below are the shifts/tasks we need volunteers to help the food closet continue to meet the needs of our clients. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please complete our Volunteer Application and schedule yourself any shifts you would like. If you are ever unable to work a shift you have signed up for, we ask that you decline the shift ASAP. If you must cancel with less than 24 hours notice, please text our Volunteer Coordinator at 916-287-1358, before declining your shift, so we have time to find a replacement.

Morning Shift (AM) (Monday-Friday 7:00am-11:00am) -Sorting Food -Stocking Shelves -Filling Bags with Food -Cleaning and Maintaining Facilities

Day Shift(PM) (Monday-Friday 10:15-2:15pm) -Check-in Station- Checking in Clients -Filling Bags with Food for Clients -Sorting Produce and Bread -Loading Food into Clients' Vehicles -Restocking Shelves -Cleaning Facilities

You can also sign up to work a full day. (Monday-Friday 7:15am-2:15pm)

Please be sure to notify us if you are completing community service hours for an outside organization.
