About
Our Museum archives are a repository of artifacts that help us tell the stories of Berlin and fulfill our mission; education with an emphasis on preserving the cultural history and historic integrity of Berlin and the surrounding area. Our exhibits document the cultural heritage of our diverse and vibrant community and a way of life unique to the lower Eastern Shore of Maryland. As part of the Beach to Bays Heritage Areas Cape to Cape Scenic Byway, we enjoy visitors from across the country including many tourists visiting Ocean City, MD.
Mission Statement
Located in the heart of Berlin’s National Register Historic District, the Calvin B. Taylor House Museum is a favorite gathering spot for cultural and community events, offering festivals, programs, and meeting space for the entire community. Inside, local history exhibits and period furnishings allow visitors a glimpse into the lives of many who left an impact on local history, depicting life from the early 1800s to the present day. Guided and self-guided tours are available, as well as childrens workshops and storytimes. The Harrison Room holds a research library open to the public with genealogy records, photographs, and a learning library.
