About

The mission of the The Iowa Children's Museum is to inspire every child to imagine, create, discover, and explore through the Power of Play.

Mission Statement

As one of Iowa's largest and most vibrant cultural attractions, The Iowa Children's Museum's colorful spaces are not only fun, they are backed by overwhelming research that says playing is essential to a childs development. The ICM provides hands-on opportunities for children to learn about the world around them through exhibits and programs that are organized around five key learning initiatives: School Readiness, Healthy Kids, STEM, Arts & Culture, and Financial Literacy. The museums approach to informal learning for children, ages birth to 12, provides an ideal opportunity for enrichment and dynamic educational interactions for families. In addition to its emphasis on highly interactive exhibits within its 28,000 square-foot facility at the Coral Ridge Mall, the museum continually collaborates with other area organizations to offer a wide variety of off-site programs andevents to engage with the community.
