Unconditional Freedom

Free Food Harlem, an initiative of Unconditional Freedom, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, currently serves over 500 meals a week in Harlem, NY to the homeless and anyone in the community in need of a nourishing meal. Our nonprofit is dedicated to helping marginalized populations receive the tools for success and flourishing.

We focus on healthy, approachable food, served in a sit-down setting that brings love and dignity to the guests. Our meals are cooked from fresh farm produce and other donated ingredients and prepared by a chef and volunteer team who skillfully and lovingly cook each element of the meal. The care is felt in the food, as our guests come from all over NYC to dine each week at our free restaurant and receive the nourishment ? physical and emotional, from the meals. Our volunteers are nourished by the whole experience as well, and as our guests fill up, many of them have asked us to volunteer and help us so we can continue to serve our meals and fill others. It?s a beautiful and meaningful experience each week, and continues to expand.
