Mission Statement

As the leading Federal provider of outdoor recreation opportunities with 372 million visits per year, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers offers interesting volunteer opportunities in recreation and natural resources management at many of its 423 lakes and waterways across the country. Volunteers serve as park and campground hosts, staff visitor centers, conduct programs, clean shorelines, restore fish and wildlife habitat, maintain park trails and facilities, and more. Corps volunteers help people and the environment, often work outdoors, and enjoy making a difference.
