Vera Court Neighborhood Center

Vera Court Neighborhood Center is one of two organizations within the umbrella agency Vera Court Neighborhood Center, Inc., an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since 1994, Vera Court Neighborhood Centers mission has been to support its community in addressing the needs identified by its residents.

Vera Court Neighborhood Center, Inc. aims to strengthen our community and improve lives by providing quality programming in the areas of education, employment, and well being. During the summer, the academic program, called Milestones, aims to reduce learning loss among elementary to high school age youth by providing fun and enriching activities. This includes our Reading Buddies program, which we are actively seeking volunteers for. Reading Buddies is an opportunity for elementary age youth to read with a volunteer one-on-one or in small groups.
