About
Provide service-enriched, affordable senior housing to over 400 Mainers; two programs in Saco Provide housing and case management to people with severe and pervasive mental illness; two programs in Saco and Biddeford. Provide Community Justice programs: Reentry Center to men completing the last 6-12 months of their sentences; and Batterers Intervention Program. Provide a free week-long overnight summer camp to 150 girls and boys every year: Camp POSTCARD. Provide housing to Veterans who have experienced homelessness; two programs in Saco and Biddeford

Organization History & AchievementsVolunteers of America was founded in 1896 by Maud and Ballington Booth. Over the past 120 years, the organization has grown to encompass 36 affiliates serving over two million people in over 400 communities in 46 states.Volunteers of America Northern New England, the regional affiliate of the national organization, was re-organized in 1992.
